Barbara Famulare

RICHFIELD SPRINGS-Barbara Famulare age 77, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday morning October 7, 2021 at Bassett Medical Center, Cooperstown. She was born on December 29, 1943 in Lockport, daughter of the late Howard C. and Alice Baker Luskin. Barbara was raised in Lockport and was a graduate of the Royal Heartland High School.  She furthered her education at the Mohawk Valley Community College where she received an Associate's Degree in Business Administration.  On June 22, 1963 she was united in marriage to Robert Famulare in Saint Mary's RC Church in Lockport.  In 1968 they moved to Richfield Springs where Mrs. Famulare worked as a Teachers ' Assistant for the Richfield Springs Central School system.  She retired in 2017 after thirty-four years of dedicated service. Barbara had a strong belief in God and was a member of Saint Joseph the Worker RC Church in Richfield Springs. She was always willing to help and looked for nothing in return. Her life revolved around her husband.  She cherished her time with her kids, grandkids and great-grandkids.  Barb enjoyed the time spent on the lake , gardening and snuggling with her dogs. She will be sadly missed .

Surviving are her devoted husband of fifty -eight years Robert Famulare , a son Trever Famulare and his wife Marybeth of Shippen s burg, PA, two daughters, Kary Buddle and her husband Mark of Richfield Springs, Tricia R o ss and her husband William of Cobleskill , seven grandchildren, Jeffrey Butler, Alesia Butler, Elizabeth Martin, Alana Famulare-Miller, Hannah Famulare, Billy Ross and Madyso n Ross and four great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday October 11, 2021 in Saint Joseph the Worker RC Church, Richfield Springs at 10:00 am.  Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.  Funeral arrangements are with J. Seaton McGrath Funeral Home, Richfield Springs.
