Barbara S. Poore

Barbara Annette Stewart Poore of Van Hornesville passed away on February 1st. Born in a small town in Western Pennsylvania, Barbara is predeceased by her mom Betty Good Stewart, dad James Robert Stewart and her husband Dale J.C. Poore.

She is survived by her beloved daughter Quendryth Marshall, her amazing son-in-law Michael Marshall and their two daughters, Camryn A. Marshall and Sydney A Marshall, whom she was especially proud of.

She is also survived by her amazing sister Diane Ciabattoni, niece Dina M. (JD) Ciabattoni, nephews R. Jamie Ciabattoni and Warren J. (Josie) Ciabattoni and grand niece Svea S. Ciabattoni.

Barbara attended nursing school in Pittsburgh, Pa before a long, fulfilling career as a psychiatric nurse in the Philadelphia, Pa area. Early in her career she met, Michael Coceano (Kevin Sames), who remains a dear and treasured friend.

Barbara attended all of her daughter's and granddaughter's athletic games and loved every minute. She was active in the Van Hornesville United Methodist Church, DAR and the Van Hornesville Community Corporation, where she served as president for 3 years.

Barbara was grateful to the Wiltse Hill and Van Hornesville gang, who took her under their wings and showed her how special their town is when she retired to their community in 2006.

Barbara wishes to thank all who are near and dear to her, especially everyone from Spring Lawn Farm, her dear friend Marie (Emil) Zaija whom she shared many adventures with and Sarah Brander (Jeremy Tripp) whose talent and kindness are beyond measure. Barbara and her family extend their heartfelt thank you to Sue (Willie, Mattie) Smith for her unselfish love and care. Barbara's beloved furry companion, Tori, who never left her side.

Life is an adventure, and Barbara is off to her next one!
