Daniel C. Gushue

Daniel Cyril Gushue, age 38, passed away at home surrounded by his family March 11, 2024.

Born to Michael and Patricia Gushue on September 18, 1985 in Ilion, NY. He was raised in Mohawk, NY and was a graduate of Owen D. Young  School, Class of 2004.

Daniel's happiest moments were spent with his parents, Brothers Michael and Matthew, nieces, nephews, and working with his friends on the Peplinski Farm who treated Dan like family.

Dan was willing to help anyone in need. He was the light of his parent's lives. He will be missed by everyone that knew him, most of all his parents. Daniel was employed by several area businesses, most recently Heidleburg Materials formerly Hanson's Stone Quarry.

Daniel is survived by his parents Michael and Patricia "Trish" Gushue of Mohawk, NY, nieces and nephews Matthew and Aiden Gushue, Jayden, Scotty, and Kaydence Gushue, great nieces Blair and Harlyn Gushue. Maternal  aunts and uncles Calvin Hight, Michele Hight, Charles and Barbara Hight, Millie and Carl Wilcox, Robert and Susan Hight,  Matthew Hight, Leland Hight, Melissa Hight, Sue Bronson, Ed Bronson, Henry and Theo Hight. Paternal aunts and uncles Vince and Debbie Gushue, Warren (Jimmy) Gushue, Howard and Nola Gushue, Bonnie and Dan Desjardins and Anthony Gushue, numerous cousins and multiple friends.

He was predeceased by his older brothers Michael and Matthew  Gushue, maternal grandparents Clavin and Patricia Hight, paternal grandparents Rosa Maria Massacco and Cyril Gushue, uncles Gene Gushue and Billy Gushue.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday March 24th, from 1:00-4:00pm in the Richfield Springs Vets Club, Lake Street, Richfield Springs.
