Diana E Chadwell

RICHFIELD SPRINGS – Diana E. Chadwell, age 65, of Elm Street passed away on Friday morning December 8, 2023 in her home.

Diana was born on September 26, 1958 in Germany, a daughter to the late Alexander and Rosemarie Hirsch Grossi. She was raised and educated in Little Falls and is a graduate of Little Falls High School.

Diana was a switchboard operator at the call center in Bassett Hospital in Cooperstown. On July 13, 1999 she married Eric Chadwell in Schuyler Lake a blessed union of twenty-four years.

To know Diana, her world revolved around her granddaughters, she loved every minute she could be with them. She loved crafting, if it could be made, she made it.

She was a friend to many and will never be forgotten.

Surviving her are, her husband Eric, a son David "DJ" Springer, Jr. of Rome, two cherished  granddaughters Addison and Olivia both of Rome, three brothers; Ted Grossi and his wife Kathy of Broadbrook, Connecticut, Peter Grossi and his wife Kristin of Sayville, Long Island, Michael Grossi and his wife Kathy of Nebraska, two sisters; Mary Thurston of Edgartown, Massachusetts and Christine Crozier of Frankfort, she also survived by her nieces, nephews and cousins as well as her many friends.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her brother Alexander Grossi.

Funeral services for Mrs. Chadwell will be private and held at the convenience of her family.
