Ethel M. Riccoboni

NEWPORT – Ethel M. Riccoboni, age 75, of White Creek Road pas sed away peacefully on Saturday, January 5, 2019 in her home. She had the comfort of her loving family by her side at the time of her passing.

She was born on May 21, 1943 in Herkimer a daughter to the late Abraham and Flossie St. Onge DeCarr. She was raised and educated in the Kuyah o ora Valley area. In September of 1995 she was united in marriage with Guerino Riccoboni in the Newport United Methodist Church. She worked at various places including Allegro Shoes, Masonic Home and lastly West Canada Valley School.

Ethel had a strong belief in God and attended the Kuyah o ora Community Church in Newport. Sh e enjoyed camping and gardening, was a fantastic cook , known for her lasagna, and one who was tough to beat when playing cards. Any time she could spend with her fa mily was a special time for her.  Sh e will always be remembered as a great wife, loving mother and a wonderful grandmother and great-grandmother. Her friends and relatives as well will remember her as a caring and loving person.

Surviving her besides her husband of twenty three years, Guerino , are two sons Phil Coffin and his wife Tin a of Little Falls, Randy Coffin o f Sebring, Florida, three stepsons, Steve Crowther and his wife Doreen of Wallkill, Gino Riccoboni and his wife Ann of Beacon, Vincent Riccoboni and his wife Tina of Wappingers Falls, two stepdaughters Tammy Dubois and her husband Bob of Marlboro, Denise Aluisio and her husband Bob of Modena,  two brothers Lyle DeCarr and his wife Donna of Taberg, Edward DeC arr and his wife Sharon of Marcy, three sisters Beverly Durand of Herkimer, Isabel Miller of Harlem, Ge or gia, Marjorie Broadbent and her husband Rodney of Boonville, thirteen grandchildren, three great - grandchild r en, many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her son Ricky Coffin, three brothers, Raymond, Roland and Garfield DeCarr and a sister Beatrice Barnes.

Calling hours for Mrs. Riccoboni will be Friday from 5:00 until 7:00 pm in Fenner Funeral Home Inc. 115 Court Street, Herkimer. A funeral service to follow at 7:00 pm in the funeral home with the Pastor Dwayne Durand to officiate. Interment will take later this spring in Prospect Cemetery.

Expressions of sympathy may be made in her memory with donations to Hospice and Palliative Care Inc. or the American Red Cross .  E nvelopes will be available in the funeral home.
