Faron W. Bond

GREAT BARRINGTON, MA – Faron W. Bond, age 66, of Great Barrington, Massachusetts passed away peacefully on Sunday December 3, 2023 in Fairview Hospital, Great Barrington.

He was born on March 20, 1957 in Plainfield, a son of the late Wilber J. and Iris E. Marriott Bond. He was locally raised and educated. He was a Heavy Equipment Operator for the Cobleskill Stone Quarry in Oneonta. At one time he lived in Otego and later in Springfield before moving to Massachusetts.

Faron loved anything outdoors especially hunting, he enjoyed watching NASCAR, WWE Wrestling and upon the conclusion of WWE he would demonstrate his new moves on his daughters. He loved to tinker and fix things, a man of many talents. His family was everything to him.

He was hard working man who would help anyone anytime. Truly a great friend to many who will never be forgotten.

Surviving him are four daughters: Monica Bond of Richfield Springs, Jeany Collins and her husband David of Westmoreland, Karen Diotte of Richfield Springs, Andrea Fisher and her husband Dennis of Ilion, four sisters Nancy Armstrong and her husband Dale of Schuyler Lake, Claudia Ostrander of Richfield Springs, Janet Duncan of Schuyler Lake, Laurie Duncan of West Winfield, eleven grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by four brothers; Billy, Fred, Bradley and Mickey Bond, three sisters Elizabeth Burdick, Gloria Burdick, and Dede Farber and his beloved cat Spanky.

Funeral services for Mr. Bond will be private and at the convenience of his family,
