RICHFIELD SPRINGS – Francesco "Frankie" Nicholas Chiodo, age 41, passed away Saturday January 6, 2024, at Bassett Healthcare, Cooperstown as a result of an accident. He was born of June 11, 1982, in Harrison, a son of Francesco and Carmela (Guidicipietro) Chiodo. A graduate of Brewster High school with the class of 2001, the family moved to Richfield Springs in 2006. He worked as a beer brewer, most recently at Saranac Brewery. Frankie enjoyed being with people, his kindness and sincerity for helping family and friends always showed through his infectious smile and loving face. He touched the lives of many and will be greatly missed.
Surviving are his parents, Frank and Carmela Chiodo, a brother Louis A, Chiodo, sister-in-law Haley both of Richfield Springs, his loving two nieces and godchild Aurora J. Chiodo and Marchella A. Chiodo all of Richfield Springs, his uncle Michael Guidicipietro and his wife Christina of Claremont NC, his aunt Cynthia Bartolotti and her husband John of Columbia, MD, his uncle Rinaldo Chiodo and his wife Diann, his aunt, Ivana Raneri and her husband Joseph, all of Harrison, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his grandparents he was pre-deceased by his sister Ann Marie Chiodo.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday January 15, 2024 at 11:00am in St. Joseph the Work RC Church Richfield Springs.
Calling hours will be on Sunday January 14th from 3:00 – 7:00pm in J. Seaton McGrath Funeral Home, 40 West James Street, Richfield Springs.
