RICHFIELD SPRINGS -Fredrick Scott Clements a ge 62 passed away peacefully on Thursday evening, November 11, 2021 in his home.  He had the support and comfort of his loving family at his side.  Fred was born on May 9, 1959 in Herkimer, son of the late Fredrick C. and Margaret Ceck Clements.  A lifelong resident of Richfield Springs, he was raised and educated in Richfield Springs Central School. On July 6, 1985 he married the love of his life, the former Judy Lynch in the town of Ohio.  They made their home and raised their family in Richfield Springs.

At one time Fred was in charge of maintaining The Lakeview Cemetery where he showed great care and concern for all who were buried.  In 2012 he went to work for the the Village of Richfield Springs Department of Public Works . Fred had a great regard for the village he lived in and all who lived there . He was a member of the Richfield Springs Volunteer Fire Department.  To all who knew him he was a caring, out-going and fun loving man with a mind of his own.  In his leisure time he enjoyed hunting, trapping and fishing , but most of all being with his family, especially his cherished grandchildren.  He will be sadly missed .

He is survived by his devoted wife of thirty-six years, Judy, three sons, Bruce Clements and his wife Rayleen of Hinkley, Robert Clements of Rome, Delbert Clements of Richfield Springs, a daughter, Grace Stockight and her husband Matthew of Richfield Springs, four brothers, Frank Clements, Aaron Clements, Delbert Grimshaw, Jamie Grimshaw, four sisters, Robin Grimshaw, Anna Grimshaw, Rosie Blanchard and Barbie Grimshaw, thirteen grandchildren , several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousin.  Besides his parents he is preceded in death by a son Scott Clements, a daughter Lisa Stanton and one brother, Billy Grimshaw.

Calling hours will be held on Thurs day from 5:00 until 7:00 pm in Fenner Funeral Home, Inc., 115 Court Street; Herkimer.  Funeral service will be at a later time private and at the convenie nt to the family.  The family wishes to extend their appreciation to Herkimer Cancer Center of Bassett Healthcare, Dr. Marci Canary, Arlene, Terry, Daphene, T ari and Brook e for the love, care and compassion shown to Fred and his family during this most difficult time.

Members of the Richfield Springs Volunteer Fire Department are asked to meet at the Fenner Funeral Home, Inc., 115 Court Street; Herkimer at 7:00 pm for services.
