Gene J. Gushue

RICHFIELD SPRINGS – Gene J. Gushue age 69, Center Street passed away on Wednesday January 5, 2022 in the Cooperstown Center.

He was born April 30, 1952 in Herkimer, a son of the late Cyril V. and Rose Massacco Gushue. He was raised and educated in Richfield Springs graduating from Richfield Springs High School. After high school he enlisted in the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1978. Gene was a dairy farmer who worked for numerous farms in the area.

Gene is survived by his brothers Howard Gushue of Nelliston, Vince Gushue and his wife Debra of Richfield Springs,  James Gushue of Syracuse, Michael Gushue and his wife Patricia of Jordanville, Anthony Gushue of Herkimer, a sister Bonnie DesJardins and her husband Dan of Ilion and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a brother William.

Funeral service for Mr. Gushue will be held privately at a time convenient to his family.
