Gertrude M. Spraker

COOPERSTOWN – Gertrude Minnie Spraker, age 96, of Phoenix Mills Cross Road, formerly of Springfield, passed away on Wednesday June 5, 2024 in the Cooperstown Center.

Gertrude was born on May 28, 1928 in Cooperstown a daughter to the late Irving and Anita Gilchrist Judson. She was raised and educated in Springfield. At one time she was married to Maurice Brodie and later to Reed Spraker. For over thirty years she was a Housekeeping Supervisor at Bassett Medical Center, Cooperstown.

She truly enjoyed to be with her family, She loved to travel and was an avid shopper.

She was a friend to many and will never be forgotten.

Surviving her are a son Robert Spraker and his wife Janet of Richfield Springs, a daughter Teri Forbes of Cherry Valley, a sister Virginia Armstrong of Springfield Center, ten grandchildren, many great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter Bonnie Wannamaker, a sister Iva Walker and her granddaughter Jamie Forbes.

A graveside service for Mrs. Spraker will be held on Wednesday June 12th at 10:00 am in Springfield Center Cemetery.
