RICHFIELD SPRINGS - Glenice Tuller Branigan, 80, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 6, 2023 after a lengthy illness in the comfort of her home, surrounded by family.
She was born in (Cooperstown) Hartwick, NY, on August 29, 1942, the daughter of the late Gerald L and Lepha (Morey) Tuller. The family later moved to the Richfield Springs area where Glenice was educated and graduated in 1960. She and her "best friend" Martin were united in marriage on January 2, 1960 and eventually moved up on the Hill to the Branigan Farm, where they built their home and shared 63 years together raising their four children. Glenice was employed at Bassett Healthcarefrom 1986-2011, Retiring from Bassett Healthcare's Network- NY Center for Agricultural Medicine and Health.
Glenice was a devoted mother and enjoyed time bowling, bridge club, TOPS, DAR and her meticulous detail of lawn care. Glenice also treasured her time attending sport events and activities involving her children and grandchildren.
Surviving are her husband, Martin; children, Marcia (Neil) Brooks, Mark (Wendy) Branigan, James Branigan, and John (Michelle) Branigan, cherished grandchildren, Christopher (Lily), Daniel (Amanda) and Jordan (Neysha) Williams, Jack and Emma Branigan, 5 great-grandchildren and a sister, Janice Gregori.
The family would like to extend a special Thank you to her caregivers, Janet Sylvestor, Sue Bronson; Mary Ann and Joanne of Hospice for the wonderful care and compassion shown during these last few months.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, April 15th at 12:30 pm in St. Joseph's the Worker RC Church, 35 Canadrago St, Richfield Springs, with the Reverend Rendell Torres pastor, officiating. It was Glenice wishes that no calling hours be held. Interment in St. Josephs Cemetery will be at a later date to be announced.
