James Casalere

RICHFIELD SPRINGS-James R. Casalere age 63 passed away unexpectedly on Thursday evening July 30, 2020 in his home.  He was born on February 15, 1957 in Cooperstown, son of the late Rocco V. and Ruth Nickerson Casalere .  A lifelong Richfield Springs resident, he was a graduate of Richfield Springs ​ High School.  He attended Munson Williams Art Institute, SUNY New Paltz and graduated from Buffalo University with a Bach elor's  degree in Art Education .  Mr. Casalere was a self- employed w ood c arver.  In his younger years he enjoyed sailing.  To those who k new him, they will always remember a caring, quiet and hardworking man.  He will be sadly missed.

He is survived by his loving brother, with who m he lived , Vincent Casalere of Richfield Springs .

A Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. Casalere will be celebrated on Thursday morning at 11:00 am in St. Joseph the Worker RC Church, Richfield Springs with Fr. Silvaster Sarihaddula officiating. Interment will follow in Saint Joseph's Cemetery.
