RICHFIELD SPRINGS – Jean Marie Corso, age 95, passed away on the morning of Thursday August 13, 2026 in her home.

She was born on October 2, 1930 in Ilion, a daughter of the late Ward C. and Dorothy Sheridan Fish. She was raised and educated in Burlington Flats. She grew up on the family farm. Jean worked at the Meadows in Cooperstown for some years making many friends during the time she worked there, later she worked for Otsego County Department of Social Services as a case worker, she retired in 1985. On July 25, 1983 she married Anthony Corso in the United Methodist Church in Milford, a blessed and loving union.

One of Jean’s favorite hobbies was going to Vernon Downs, she loved thrift store shopping, going for walks enjoying the outdoors. Most of all, she enjoyed being with her family. She was a friend to many and will never be forgotten.

Surviving is her husband of forty-three years, Anthony, a daughter Robin Walrath and her husband Michael of Burlington Flats, a sister Lois Cursh of Richfield Springs, 5 grandchildren; Kasey Walrath and Michael Walrath II, Randi Perkins, Marissa Perkins Erin Perkins a great-granddaughter Tia Winkler, many nieces, nephews.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a son Robert Perkins, a daughter Bonnie Perkins, two brothers Winston and Ward Fish, and a sister Arlene Burnside.

A small grave side gathering for Mrs. Corso will take place at a time convenient to her family.

Funeral arrangements are with J. Seaton McGrath Funeral Home Inc. 40 West James Street, Richfield Springs.
