Jon Karl Hugick

RICHFIELD SPRINGS – Jon Karl Hugick, age 73, of McKoons Road, passed away peacefully on Friday February 9, 2024 in Little Falls Hospital.

He was born on December 31, 1950, in Ilion a son to the late John and Mary Langow Hugick. He was raised in Richfield Springs he lived all of his life on McKoons Road.

Jon was an attendee of Herkimer Area Resource Center participating in many of their activities. For many years he enjoyed their adventures and love they shown him. Jon loved people, sharing his smile and twinkling eyes with everyone. He loved ice cream, game shows, especially The Price is Right, and American Ninja Warrior. He enjoyed being with his neighbors and watching farm activities.

He was friend to many and will never be forgotten.

Surviving him are two sisters, Barbara Burman and her husband Ross of Kirkville, Martha Hugick of Richfield Springs, his nieces; Valerie Beaubien – Yerdon and partner Kathy of Hastings, Cynthia Sikes and her husband Ralph of Fort Worth, Texas, JoAnn Murphy of Kirkville, Kristin Beck of Kirkville, three grand nieces, two grand nephews, two great-grand Nephews, and many cousins.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Jospehine Yerdon.

A funeral for Mr. Hugick will take place on Monday May 20th at 2:00pm in St. Joseph Cemetery, Richfield Springs. Expressions of sympathy may be made in his memory with donation to any charity of your choice.
