Karen Ann Kos

MOHAWK – Karen Ann Kos, age 75, of Kingdom Road, passed away on Monday Evening April 13, 2026 in Wynn Hospital, Utica.

Karen was born on September 15, 1950 in Holyoke, Massachusetts, a daughter to the late Albert and Germaine Gagne Milkiewicz. She was raised and educated in Holyoke, Massachusetts. On June 10, 1972 she married Wayne Kos in Holyoke, Massachusetts, a loving and blessed union fifty-five years. She was a Senior Clerk at the Quabbin Reservoir in Belchertown for many years retiring in 2001.

After her retirement Karen and Wayne moved to Florida then to New York living in Sandy Creek before coming to Mohawk. Karen loved farming with her husband and truly enjoyed riding around on her John Deere Gator.

Surviving are her husband Wayne, a brother and a sister, several nieces, nephews and cousins and special friend John Yoder and his wife Ruthanne and Marjorie Struckle.

Wayne will be present in his home on Saturday April 18th from 12 noon to 5:00pm on 631 Kingdom Road. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday April22nd at 11:00am in St. Patrick's Church 30 Main Street, South Hadley, Massachusetts. Burial to follow at Quabbin Park Cemetery in Belchertown, Massachusetts.
