Kathleen Grace Aney

RICHFIELD SPRINGS -Kathleen Grace Aney , age 75 , passed away on Monday evening, December 6, 2021 in St. Lu k e's MVHS Rehabilitation and Nursing Center , New Hartford where she has resided since 2014.

She was born on December 27, 1945 , in Ilion, daughter of the late Clayton and Grace Smith Skinner.  A lifelong area resident she was raised and educated in R ichfiel d Springs High School.  On October 6, 196 2 , she was united in marriage to Alson W. Aney in the VanHornesville United Methodist Church. They shared a loving and devoted unio n of thirty-two years until his passing on March 4, 1994. At one time she employed by Waterville Knitting and Duofold Company and later for the Entwistle Dairy Farm in Litchfield.  She was employed there for over ten years and retired in 1995.  Mrs. Aney had a strong belief in God and was of the Methodist faith. Those who knew her will never forget a kind and caring lady who loved her family and was always there for them. She was especially proud of her cherished grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She will be greatly missed.

Surviving are two sons , Greg Aney and his wife Mary, Alson Aney and his wife Doreen of Bridgewater, four daughters, Tina Aney of Schuyler Lake, Kimberly Drake and her husband Roger of Litchfield, Kathleen Schultz and her husband Robert of Virginia Beach, VA, Crystal Phillips of Virginia Beach, VA, a brother, Clayton Skinner and his wife Joan, of Richfield Springs, one sister, Edith Reile of Orisk any Falls fifteen grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
