JORDANVILLE - Kelsey Lee Schuler, age 29, of Jordanville Road passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday January 21, 2025 in Wynn Hospital, Utica.
She was born January 2, 1996 in Towson, Maryland a daughter of Michael and Jennifer Moyer Schuler. She was raised in Jordanville attending Fisher Elementary School in Mohawk, then attended grade 7-12 at Owen D. Young graduating with the Class of 2014, after high school she furthered her studies in English. She graduated from MVCC with an Associates, SUNY Oneonta with a Bachelors and lastly with Southern New Hampshire University where she obtained her Masters Degree.
Kelsey loved crafting, she had her own business, Country Craft Lodge in Jordanville, she also worked for Jo-Ann Fabrics in New Hartford.
She was a member of the Jordanville Federated Church, the Warren Historical Society and Sigma Tau Delta honor society. She was an avid crocheter and loved to do crafts. She also loved to write and had written many unpublished books.
She is survived by her parents Michael and Jennifer Schuler, two brothers David Schuler of Herkimer, Harlon Schuler of Jordanville, her paternal grandparents Alan and Karen Schuler of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, her maternal grandparents Charles and Donna Moyer of Jordanville, uncle and aunt Avi and Katherine Schuler Elfersy of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, aunt Jenn Bonkowski Moyer of Ilion, along with several cousins. She is proceeded in death by her uncle Charles Scott Moyer of Ilion.
Calling hours for Kelsey will be on Monday from 5:00-7:00 pm in J. Seaton McGrath Funeral Home, 40 West James Street, Richfield Springs and her funeral will take place on Tuesday at 11:00am in the Jordanville Federated Church, 209 Main Street, Jordanville with the Rev. Theresa Gresheck officiating. After the funeral a reception will be held at the Mohawk Legion, 43 West Main Street Mohawk. Burial will take place this spring in Highland Rural Cemetery, Jordanville.
Expressions of sympathy may be made with donations to Jordanville Public Library, 189 Main Street, Jordanville, NY 13361.
