Kenneth W. House

RICHFIELD SPRINGS – Kenneth W. House, age 76 of River Street, passed away on Thursday April 4, 2024 in Bassett Medical Center, Cooperstown.

Ken was born on October 11, 1947 in Ilion a son to the late F. Ward and Anne Senko House. He was raised and educated in Richfield Springs, graduating from Richfield Springs High School. After graduation Ken honorably served in the United States Army during the VIetnam Era.

He was a cook for many years at Woodside later for the Coopestown Dream Park and lastly for Bassett Medical Center retiring in 2000. He was a member of the Richfield Springs Vets Club, a member of the former Richfield Springs Lodge No. 482 F&AM and currently Winfield Lodge No. 581 F&AM.

Ken was a fixture on Main Street always happy to have a conversation with anyone. He was a friend to many and he will be really missed.

Surviving him are a nephew AJ House, Jr. and his wife Crystal of Richfield Springs, a niece Michelle Petrie and her husband Robert of Rome, an uncle Ernie Putnam, an aunt Kathy Senko and several cousins.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a brother AJ House in 2021.

A graveside Masonic Funeral Service will be held on Friday May 10th at 1:00pm in Lakeview Cemetery, Richfield Springs.
