Kimberly Stocking

SCHUYLER LAKE-Kimberly Sue Stocking age 52, passed away on Monday, August 24, 2020 in her home after an extended illness.  She had the comfort of her loving family at her side.  She was born on May 21, 1968 in Cobleskill, daughter of the late Donald E. and Ida L. Carroll Walsh.  Kimberly was raised in Guilderland and Richfield Springs.  She was educated in Richfield Springs Central School.  On March 3, 1990 she was united in marriage to Gene L. Stocking Sr.  During their marriage, they were blessed with two children.

Kimberly's life was being a devoted mother and homemaker.  Her family came first and she was always there for them.  In her leisure time she enjoyed reading, doing crossword and jigsaw puzzles, baking, cooking and going to the casino.  To all who knew her they will never forget a loving, caring and helpful lady.  She was happiest when she was surrounded by her many friends and family, especially her cherished grandson.  She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by one son, Gene Stocking Jr. of Schuyler Lake, a daughter, Krystal Jean Stocking and her fiancé' Jeremy Makuch of West Winfield, their father Gene L. Stocking Sr. and his companion Colleen Sullivan of Hartwick, three brothers, Jeffery Walsh of Richfield Springs, Donald J. Walsh and Becky Oldick of Exeter Township, Michael Walsh of Clayville, two sisters, Patricia Coll and Holly Walsh both of Richfield Springs, one grandson Blake Makuch and best friends Becky Mayne of Richfield Springs and Tracy Baker of Cherry Valley.

Calling hours for Mrs. Stocking will be on Friday from 3:00 to 5:00 pm in J. Seaton McGrath Funeral Home, 40 West James Street; Richfield Springs.  Funeral service will be private and at the convenience of the family.
