RICHFIELD SPRINGS - Linda S Brownell, age 73 of Park Street passed away on Thursday July 10, 2025 in her home. She had the loving comfort of her children by her side at the time of her passing.
Linda was born January 19 1952 in New Berlin, the youngest of 12 children, to the late Charles and Beaulah Davis Ray.
Linda was a loving mother to her six children and worked over the years as a CNA/HHA, when her children were young she was a stay at home mom and would help supplement the income making breads and pies for the village of Ilion, she was known as the "bread/cake lady". She had an amazing talent decorating cakes over the years until she had to stop what she loved doing when it became to painful due to Rheumatoid arthritis. She was passionate about funding childhood cancer and donated faithfully to St Jude's. She was a woman of deep faith which got her through trying times.
Linda took great pride in being a mother, she was the pillar of the family and held the family together with her unwavering love and dedication especially to her 6 children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughters Corrine Adams Edmeston, Paula Adams Shawnee, Oklahoma Kimberley and Kevin Rous West Burlington, her three sons, Robert Adams, ll and his wife Lindsey of Airat, Pennsylvania, Garrett Adams and his wife Barb of Gibson PA and Tyrell and his companion Holly Adams New Berlin, her one surviving brother Gary Ray West Edmeston, first husband Robert Adams, her grandchildren Joshua ( Gina) Adams, Brittany ( Ray) Cummings , Gregory (Desiree) Hardy, Richard ( Aubee) and Kyle ( Amber) Brewer Matthew (Emily)Stickles, Kyle (Cameron) Yager, Brett (Jade)Yager, Garrett (Alexis)Adams, Marrisa, Tyrell, Carson and Levi Adams, Justin ( Jennifer) Rous, Jason (Sara) Rous, Jordan (Joe) Rous, Robert Adams, lll, Eirik and Raven Brown and 22 great grandchildren with number 23 due in September, l.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her grandchildren Benjamin Stickles, Shylabeth Adams, Erika Rous and David Adams, her 10 siblings and a very special niece Elaine Matthew's whom she had a very close sisterly bond with.
We love you so much mom, please continue watching over us from heaven. Until we meet again.
