RICHFIELD SPRINGS – Marlene M. Dillenbeck, age 88, of West James Street, passed away on Monday October 6, 2025 in the Cooperstown Center, Cooperstown.
Marlene was born on September 3, 1937 in Little Falls, a daughter of the late Ivan W. and Iva Voorhees Boepple. She was raised and educated in Little Falls and a graduate of Little Falls High School. She was married to Elbert Dillenbeck he passed away in 2008. Marlene was a dedicated homemaker who was truly devoted to her family.
She loved knitting, she used to knit baby blankets and donate them to hospitals, she also donated them to animal shelters. Her favorite pastt time was sitting on her front porch watching the cats and squirrells.
Marlene is survived by her daughter Linda Matthews and her husband Cary of Richfield Springs, three grandchildren; Andrew Quackenbush, Justin Matthews and his wife Jamie, Nichole Matthews all of Richfield Springs, a sister Lois Boepple of Little Falls, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides her parents and husband Elbert she was preceded in death by her daughter Donna Dillenbeck and her brother Alan Wayne Boepple.
A celebration of life in memory of Marlene will be held at a later date.
Expressions of sympathy may be made in her memory donations to the Susquehanna ASPCA 5082 State Highway 28, Cooperstown, NY 13326.
