UTICA – Mary Louise Tyo, age 75 of Kemble Streetpassed away Monday afternoon January 22, 2024 in the Oneida Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing, Utica. She had the loving comfort of her family by her side at the time of her passing.

She was born on February 9, 1948, in Utica, a daughter of the late Leon E. and Anna Millbower Tyo. She was raised and educated in Sauquoit and a graduate of Sauquoit High School. Mary had many talents and held many jobs but she best known as a self employed nurses aide.

Mary loved computer games, enjoyed going to the casino. She was definitely a free spirit who enjoyed life.

She is survived by two brothers; Leo Tyo of Richfield Springs, Paul Tyo of Rome, two sisters; Anna Wellington and her husband Ralph of Cedarville, Joan McLean and her husband Martin of Schuyler Lake, many nieces, nephews, cousins, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a Brother Carl Edward Tyo.

A funeral services for Ms. Tyo will take on Saturday May 25th at 11;00am in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Winfield followed by a celebration of life at 12 noon in the Cedarville Fire Hall.
