RICHFIELD SPRINGS- Miguel A. Ayala, Sr, age 88 of 16 Canadarago Street passed away Tuesday evening August 4th, 2026 in his home.

Miguel was born on December 6, 1937 in Puerto Rico a son of the late Leoncio and Luz Ayala, in his youth his family moved to Miami, Florida then the Bronx where he was raised and educated. For many years he was a postal carrier with the United States Post Office in Paterson, New Jersey. On December 26, 2000 he married the former Anna Quesada in Paterson, New Jersey. After his retirement, he moved to Richfield Springs to live with his son Miguel, Jr.

In his spare time he loved to read and he was a huge New York Yankees fan.

Besides his wife he survived by two sons; Miguel Ayala, Jr. of Richfield Springs, Larry Ayala and his wife Tracy of Levittown, Long Island, two daughters; Lisa Disalvo and her husband Phil of Pennsylvania, Laurie Ann Alvarez and her husband Edwin of Brewster, four grandchildren named Michael, Anthony, Samantha, and Ryan. He has four brothers and two sisters, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A funeral service for Mr. Ayala will be private and at the convenience of his family.

Funeral arrangement are with J. Seaton McGrath Funeral Home Inc. 40 West James Street, Richfield Springs.
