For 38 years he was a meat cutter with the Great Atlantic and Pacific Tea Company (A&P) in Richfield Springs. In his spare time he enjoyed playing video games, bowling and golf.
He was a friend to many and will never be forgotten.
Surviving him, his wife of seventy two years Bette, two sons Thomas Maxson and his wife Sandra of Richfield Springs, Mark Maxson and his wife Shawn of Richfield Springs, four daughters Marilyn Patrick and her husband Raymond of Richfield Springs, Diane Frohne and her husband Ronald of Richfield Springs, Susan Dodd and her husband Calvin Vidalia , Louisiana, Sherry Woudenberg and her husband Ronald of Penn Yan, a sister Marian Maxson of Richfield Springs, fifteen grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, one great great-grandchild, many nieces nephews and cousins. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters Bette Eysaman and Grace LaFrance.
In according to his wishes there will be no calling hours, a service will take place at a later time convenient to the family . Arrangements are with the J. Seaton McGrath Funeral Home 40 West James Street, Richfield Springs.
A big piece of our hearts now live s in heaven. Remember to take time to spend with family, friends and loved ones, creating memories you will always have to cherish.
