RICHFIELD SPRINGS – Patricia A. Allen, age 64 of Millstone Road passed away on Tuesday November 24, 2020 in her home. She had the comfort of her husband by her side at the time of her passing.
Patricia was born on January 8, 1956 in St. James, Long Island a daughter of Veronica Barry McCoy and the late Francis McCoy. She was raised and educated in Smithtown graduating from Smithtown High School. She furthered her studies receiving an Associates Degree from Suffolk County Community College. On June 21, 1975 she married Edward J. Allen in Long Island a blessed union of 45 years. She was a supervisor with E.J. Allen Convenience Store in Richfield Springs. She had a strong belief in God and was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Church.
She loved being with her children and grandchildren and will always be remembered as a true friend to many.
Surviving her besides her husband Edward are her mother Veronica McCoy of Richfield Springs, two sons David Allen and his wife Shelly of Herkimer, Edward C. Allen and his wife Cara of Chesapeake, Virginia, two daughters Patricia J. Allen of Maryland, Dawn Seamon and her husband Brenton of Cooperstown, three brothers Thomas McCoy of Vestal, John McCoy and his wife Susan of Brick, New Jersey, James McCoy and his wife Robin of Long Island, two sisters Theresa McCoy of Brick, New Jersey, Jane McCoy of Richfield Springs, ten grandchildren Piper, Danielle, Christian, Brenna, Avery, Landon, Nick, Colton, Noralee, and Wyatt. Besides her father Francis she was preceded in death by a brother Richard McCoy and a sister Kathleen Pfaeffle.
Calling hours for Mrs. Allen will take place on Tuesday from 3:00-6:00 pm in J.Seaton McGrath Funeral Home, 40 West James Street, Richfield Springs. A Mass of Christian will be celebrated on Wednesday December 2nd in St. Joseph the Worker Church, Richfield Springs. Burial to follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
To those attending calling hours and the Funeral Mass will be required to wear face masks and keep within social distancing as we adhere to the Governor's orders on COVID-19.
Expressions of sympathy may be made in her memory with donations to the Richfield Springs Community Food Bank, PO Box 140, Richfield Springs, NY 13439, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
