Randy I. Gage

MOHAWK – Randy I. Gage, age 63, of State Highway 28, passed away on Friday morning October 30, 2026 in Bassett Medical Center, Cooperstown.

Randy was born on January 21, 1963, in Herkimer Memorial Hospital, a son of the late Raymond C. and Katherine Soposki Gage. He was a graduate of Richfield Springs Central School, Class of 1981. A dedicated dairy farmer could best describe Randy, he owned and operated the Gage Family Dairy Farm. On August 3, 1985 he married the former Beth Yaw in the People's Undenominational Church, Cedarville, a blessed and loving union of forty-one years.

A true outdoorsman he loved fishing, deer hunting, four wheeling, snowmobiling and at one time he loved riding his motorcycle. He loved hanging out with his friends.

He was a friend to many and will never be forgotten.

Besides his wife Beth he is survived by two sons Brandon and Austin Gage both of Mohawk, four sisters; Cindy Latt of Mohawk, Denise Goodale of Mohawk, Lorraine Robertson of Richfield Springs, Darlene Cagwin of Richfield Springs, a brother Dean Gage and his wife Tina of Richfield Springs, a sister-in-law Sue Horner and her companion Matt of Ohio, brother-in-law Christopher Yaw and his wife Bridget of Malone, several nieces, nephews, cousins and his two special friends Paul Holland and Rich Becker.

He was preceded in death by a nephew Daniel Latt, and two brothers in law, Charles Cagwin and Gregory Goodale.

A funeral service for Mr. Gage will be held on Sunday, November 8th at 2:00 pm in J. Seaton McGrath Funeral Home Inc. 40 West James Street, Richfield Springs, with the Reverend Daniel Hoogheem officiating. Burial will take place in private at a time convenient to his family.
