Rose Marie Seamon

CLINTON – Rose Marie Seamon, age 88, of Clinton formerly of Richfield Springs, passed away on Monday June 23, 2025 in the Lutheran Homes.

Rose was born on July 31, 1936 in Middlefield a daughter to the late Floyd B. and Myrtle E. McRorie Laymon. She was raised and educated in Cooperstown.  She was married to James Seamon for over forty years; he passed in 2023. Rose was a dairy farmer working at the family dairy farm. She also was a bus driver for the Otsego County Head Start Program. She was a dedicated homemaker too, raising her four children.

She loved being with her family, she also enjoyed canning, riding motorcycles and mopeds, going to garage sales and watching the New York Yankees.

Surviving her are four children; Richard Seamon and his wife Tammy of Richfield Springs, Cindy Ferguson and her husband Fay of West Winfield , Pamela Miller and her husband Jim of Richfield Springs, Randy Seamon and his wife Lorri of Richfield Springs, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her brother Floyd Laymon, and three sister Doris Dopp, Helen Sager, Patricia Laymon.

A celebration of life for Mrs. Seamon will take place on July 27th from 11:00am-2:00pm at the Meadow Links Golf Course, 476 County Highway 27, Richfield Springs.

Expressions of sympathy may be made in her memory with donations to the St. Jude Children Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
