Russell J. Shufelt

JORDANVILLE – Russell J. Shufelt, age 60 of Jordanville passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday November 28, 201 8 in Bassett Medical Center, Cooperstown.

He was born on July 3, 1958 in Albany a son to the late Irving and Genevieve Martin Shufelt. Raised and educated in Delmar g raduating from Colonie High School. Russell worked for numerous companies Curtis Lumber, Owens Corning Fiberglass both in Albany area, then Wal Mart in Cobleskill later in their Distribution Center in Sharon Springs. On July 23, 1992 he married the former Rosemary Fountain in Delmar.

Russell enjoyed the outdoors and occasionally you could hear him singing. He truly loved being with his daughter and his grandchildren.

Besides his wife Rosemary he survived by two daughters Leah Eilers and her husband Nicholas of Richfield Springs and Kiera McDonald , a sister Debra Pierce and her husband Ronald of Delmar two grandsons Elijah and Isiah Eilers.

Besides his parent he was preceded in death by brother Richard Shufelt.

Calling hours for Mr. Shufelt will take place on Monday from 4:00-6:00pm in J. Seaton McGrath Funeral Home, 40 West James Street, Richfield Springs.
