RICHFIELD SPRINGS – Wanda J. Schultz, age 76, of William Street, passed away on Friday morning May 16, 2025 in her home.
Wanda was born on November 29, 1948 in Cooperstown a daughter of the late Robert P. and Agnes L. Schultz. She was raised and educated in Richfield Springs and a graduate of Richfield Springs High School, after high school she attended college in Philadelphia, later enrolling in MVCC achieving an Associates Degree in Nursing. She was a Registered Nurse for many years at Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown retiring in 2016.
At one time, Wanda was a member of the Richfield Springs Lioness Club, a member of the Richfield Springs Post 616 Ladies Auxiliary, in her spare time loved playing cards and going out bowling.
Surviving her are a son Chet Thomas of Onondaga Indian Reservation, two daughters; Beth Schultz of Richfield Springs, Rhonda Thomas of Onondaga Indian Reservation, two brothers; Robert Shultz, Jr of Herkimer, Henry Schultz of Richfield Springs, two sisters Margaret Schultz of Herkimer and Roberta Schultz of Herkimer, two grandchildren; Mykahla Collins and Maverick Collins, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers David Schultz, Donald Schultz, and a sister Gloria Thibault.
Funeral services for Wanda will be private and held at the convenience of her family.
Arrangements are with J. Seaton McGrath Funeral Home Inc 40 West James Street, Richfield Springs.
